Chairman
Mohamed Ali Al-Hamadi is the Founding Partner at MAA & PARTNERS, with an extensive legal experience spanning approximately 16 years. He is a licensed lawyer, arbitrator, and accredited mediator by the Ministry of Justice. Additionally, he served as an elected member of the Advisory Council of the Emirate of Sharjah since 2019. He also chairs the Legislative and Legal Affairs, Appeals, Suggestions and Complaints Committee, and contributes during his tenure to the drafting and amendment of several legislations and laws.
By the decision of the Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, he was appointed as a board member of Sharjah Sports Club, one of the largest clubs in the United Arab Emirates, to head the legal affairs of the club. Mohamed has been accredited as an arbitrator by the Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre and has presided over and adjudicated dozens of commercial and real estate cases. He was also a member of the team responsible for drafting the regulations of the Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre. He is a licensed advocate before the Federal Supreme Court, as well as the Court of Cassation in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. He has represented clients in various types of criminal cases, demonstrating extensive expertise in electronic and financial crimes, and has earned a reputable standing across all courts. Prior to joining the legal profession, he contributed to the legal affairs of the Sharjah International Airport Free Zone Authority for five years, expanding his knowledge in the fields of commercial law, company law, and labor law. Due to his experience in sports law, he was selected in 2018 as a member of the Appeal Committee of the United Arab Emirates Football Association, serving in this capacity for two years.
Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Sharjah and a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre in cooperation with the University of Sharjah.

Ahmed Kotb is considered one of the rising figures in dispute resolution. Vivek Agrawalla is a Partner at MAA & PARTNERS – 1.618. He is a leading Indian legal advisor practicing in the UAE with an extensive experience of 18 years in diverse areas, out of which he has spent several years in Dubai with one of the leading law firms of the UAE. Prior to moving to the UAE, he was working with a few of the estimated organizations in Mumbai for 6 years.
Vivek is qualified to practice law in the UAE and in India. His key areas of practice include banking and finance, inbound investment structuring, regulatory advisory, M&A, joint ventures, wills and estate planning, taxation (VAT), general corporate, employment, intellectual property, real estate, transactional work and dispute resolution.
Vivek has advised multiple domestic and international clients on structuring of their investments into the UAE and on various cross-border transactions. He is admired by his clients for his pragmatic and result-oriented approach.

Mohammad Altamimi is a Partner at MAA & PARTNERS – 1.618. he heads the Personal status practice in the firm. He has an extensive experience of 19 years that includes working in the legal administrative sector for 10 years in several entities. He also worked as a lawyer in two of the major law firms in the UAE for 9 years.
His experience covers the law of personal status and family law along with relevant regulations, policies, and ministerial decisions, such as divorce cases, inheritance cases, the child rights law and all procedures related to litigation in this field. He pleads before the Dubai Court of Cassation in these specializations.
He has advised clients from multiple nationalities and backgrounds in these areas of law. He has knowledge of personal status laws in various countries.
He received his basic education at the UAE University in the basics of Sharia and law, then he completed his education at the University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, from which he obtained a Bachelor of Law.
He is a very detail-oriented lawyer and has grasp over all relevant laws.

Hassan Abdellatif is a Partner and he leads the Banking practice at MAA & Partners. His legal work experience spans over thirty seven years. He has been licensed as an Advocate in Sudan since 1987. During his seven years in Sudan, he worked for one of the largest law firms and for Shell International Petroleum Company. In 1994, he moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he worked for sixteen years. During that period, he was with one of the largest law firms in the Kingdom, which had an association with a British international law firm, for ten years. In 2010, Hassan moved to the United Arab Emirates. He worked as a Partner at a law firm for ten years and for a major international engineering consulting company before establishing his own legal consulting services company in 2021.
Under his Legal Consulting Services company, Hassan has served major companies and individuals, specializing in drafting contracts, shareholders’ resolutions, board resolutions, and the formation and liquidation of companies. He has extensive experience in commercial and major banking cases, representing major banks in corporate cases before all courts in the UAE and arbitration panels. Hassan graduated from Cairo University Khartoum Branch in 1984 and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the University of Khartoum, obtained in 1991

Ahmed Hesham Mohamed Elbastawissy has previously served as a judge at the primary courts in the criminal, civil, and commercial circuits for nine years. He began his professional career as a corporate lawyer at BNP Paribas Bank Egypt before embarking on his distinguished journey in the honorable Egyptian judiciary in 2015. Ahmed began his judicial career as a Public Prosecutor at the Egyptian Prosecution Office, where he served for six years before being appointed as a judge in the civil and criminal courts. As a judge within the distinguished Egyptian judiciary, Ahmed has gained extensive experience in civil, criminal, and commercial law, presiding over numerous complex cases and resolving disputes between parties. He has also served as an Enforcement Judge, overseeing the execution of civil judgments In addition to the above, Ahmed was awarded a scholarship from the École Nationale de la Magistrature (French National School for the Judiciary) in France, where he successfully completed training at the courts and the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bordeaux. Through this experience, he gained valuable insights into the French judicial system and further enriched his international expertise. Mr. Ahmed graduated from the French Department at Ain Shams University in cooperation with Lyon Jean Moulin University. He obtained a Master’s degree in International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, and International Criminal Law from Paris-Panthéon-Assas University. Mr. Ahmed oversees the complex litigation cases handled by Khodeir & Partners and leverages his expertise in negotiating with the parties involved when necessary.

Prior to that, he spent five years at another leading legal practice, where he provided specialised legal counsel to multinational corporations, financial institutions, and government entities. His deep knowledge of UAE judicial procedures, legislation, regulatory frameworks, and dealings with government authorities has been instrumental in supporting high-profile clients.

Lina Elsawy is a highly driven legal professional with international experience and a strong foundation in Corporate and Commercial Law. Educated in both the United Kingdom (UK) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Lina obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Kent, Canterbury (UKC). Throughout her time at UKC, Lina was an active and dedicated member of the Kent Law Clinic (KLC) which allowed her to gain practical experience in dealing with clients and handling their legal affairs, as well as exposure to diverse legal practice areas, including Housing Law and Family Law. Whilst at KLC, Lina developed an approach to legal practice that prioritises clients’ objectives and solutions thereto. Building on her undergraduate studies, Lina pursued the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and Master of Laws (LLM) at City St George’s University of London at the Gray’s Inn campus, with a particular focus on Commercial Law, Mergers & Acquisitions and Equity Finance — the latter forming the subject of her LLM dissertation.
